Learn About The Health Benefits of CBD

CBD is a therapeutic cannabinoid found in hemp. CBD binds to the cannabinoid receptor sites found in the human body that make up the endocannabinoid (EC) system.

The EC system is a natural part of human physiology and is responsible for multiple physiological and mental processes.

The positive effects of CBD continue to be studied by scientists, however there are not sufficient studies currently to make any conclusions about the benefits or harm of CBD.  Many people that use CBD do find it to be helpful but it is important to remember that the use of any product that can impact your health should be discussed with your doctor or pharmacist.

Many states now allow medical marijuana, some patients choose marijuana to manage their long-term health or pain issues, while others supplement daily with CBD without having the mind altering effects of cannabis.

CBD is non habit-forming, and can be taken daily. It has no psychoactive properties, and will not impair users in any way.

CBD has not been approved by the FDA for the treatment of any disease state.  CBD should not be used to treat any condition below, it should only be utilized as a supplement under the supervision of a physician or pharmacist.

CBD Isolate vs Full Spectrum

Hemp contains numerous natural compounds including a wide variety of cannabinoids.  CBD Isolate products contain only CBD while full spectrum products contain the full variety of cannabinoids found in the plant.

There is still some debate over which is better - isolate allows more specific dosing and is easier to use when conducting studies because you only have to track the effects of one compound.  Full spectrum allows for the full benefits of all the cannabinoids but is harder to specify dosing and makes it more difficult to tell which cannabinoid is causing which effect.

More studies need to be done to realize the full benefits of both marijuana and CBD.  Please use to form below to ask our pharmacist about how CBD may benefit you!
